POLARGUARD® 3D continuous filament insulation has the characteristic durability and warmth for which the POLARGUARD® insulation name has become known. Unlike cut staple insulation, POLARGUARD® 3D insulation will not mat, clump or pull apart, which helps to eliminate the chances of thin or cold spots developing in the insulation. The finer filament denier used in POLARGUARD® 3D insulation makes it softer and more compressible while providing added warmth. Its high void triangular cross section helps to prevent collapse after extended use. These features make POLARGUARD® 3D insulation particularly suited for use in apparel insulation.

PERFORMANCE
POLARGUARD® 3D insulation has exceptional insulating ability when wet. In an independent study of sleeping bags, comparing POLARGUARD® 3D insulation, down, and cut staple insulation, down lost the most insulation. In heated manikin testing of wet sleeping bags, POLARGUARD® 3D insulation branded bags proved to be warmer than cut staple and wet down. Sleeping bags and outerwear filled with POLARGUARD® insulation keep you warm, even in wet conditions.
